John is Senior Partner of Russell-Cooke LLP.
John’s area of particular expertise is regulation and public law. He specialises in the analysis and solution of complex regulatory problems, advising regulators, government departments, law enforcement agencies, and statutory and professional bodies. Chambers (2008-2011) has described him as “an important figure”, “highly intelligent and innovative” with “unsurpassed knowledge of regulatory powers”, “particularly apt at handling complex and sensitive matters”, “very bright indeed; very thoughtful”.

Michael advises regulators, regulated individuals, businesses and not-for-profits on a wide range of regulatory issues. He also undertakes commercial and regulatory litigation.
Michael regularly acts for the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). He advises on the application of regulatory provisions and has a particular knowledge of the Legal Services Act 2007 and Solicitors Act 1974.
Tom’s main area of practice is regulation and public law, with particular specialism in immigration law. Legal 500 notes he “knows his law inside-out” and “barrister Tom Bradford is a ‘rising star’ who is ‘ruthlessly efficient and client focused’”. Chambers and Partners UK states “Observers note that Tom Bradford of Russell-Cooke possesses ‘an outstanding analytical mind and has consistently demonstrated excellent tactical and strategic abilities’”.

Michael joined the Litigation Team in September 2010.
He is an experienced litigation solicitor having qualified in 2005. Michael’s main area of practice to date has been related to a wide variety of commercial litigation. The majority of Michael’s work involves significant claims in the High Court. Examples of specific matters in which he has been involved include:

A former practising solicitor, Andy is renowned for his compliance expertise. He was one of the authors of the current SRA Handbook and was formerly the manager of the SRA’s Legal Policy, Advice and Information team (Legal and Enforcement). During his seven years with the SRA Andy delivered a number of core training modules to hundreds of SRA colleagues as well as training Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal members, the SRA’s panel of solicitors and lawyers across the country. Andy is a contributor to the ‘Law of Legal Services‘ published by Jordan publishing. In addition to advising and writing extensively on compliance while with the SRA Andy also led a review of the SRA’s information security and information management standards.
Scott is a partner in the Corporate & Commercial Team at Russell-Cooke LLP.
Scott advises entrepreneurs, owner managed businesses and SME’s across a range of sectors. Scott is a chartered tax adviser which means that he is able to consider the tax implications of the arrangements, in addition to the providing the core corporate advice.
David is a Partner in the Corporate & Commercial Team at Russell-Cooke LLP.
He advises clients on a variety of corporate and commercial matters, with a particular focus on the sale and purchase of private companies and businesses, partnership issues, shareholder agreements and general company law advice.
Lee is a Partner and Head of the Insolvency Team at Russell-Cooke LLP.
He is dual qualified as a solicitor and a licensed Insolvency Practitioner (authorised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)).
Lee specialises in insolvency and restructuring as well as commercial litigation.
Benn is a Senior Associate solicitor at Russell-Cooke LLP.
He specialises in all aspects of restructuring and insolvency (personal and corporate), as well as commercial litigation. He joined Russell-Cooke LLP in July 2014.
Benn qualified as a solicitor in 2003, a solicitor-advocate in 2005 and is qualified to act as a solicitor-advocate in the Eastern Caribbean Court.
Chris is a Senior Associate solicitor in the Litigation Team at Russell-Cooke LLP.
He is experienced in advising on a wide range of commercial litigation issues including contractual disputes, professional negligence, company and partnership law disputes.
Chris has specific expertise in advising clients in intellectual property disputes, with particular emphasis in the internet field of technology cases.
Anthony is Head of the Employment Team at Russell-Cooke LLP, which has been described by the Legal 500 directory as delivering “an outstanding level of service”. He acts for both employers and employees, specialising in contentious work and negotiations relating to the complex starting and leaving packages of directors and other senior employees. He advises on and handles disputes involving bonuses, entitlements under incentive plans, breach of contract, restrictive covenants, confidentiality, the duty of fidelity, commission, share disputes, discrimination, whistle-blowing and unfair dismissal. He has extensive experience of litigation in both the Employment Tribunals and the Courts.
